HIP TRIM IP67 REC is a recessed architectural lighting profile engineered for applications where durability, reliability and optical performance are paramount. At its core is a fully enclosed tubular lens system manufactured from 100% high-impact acrylic, enabling the luminaire to achieve an IK10 impact resistance rating while providing complete protection against dust and water ingress. The lower section of the lens incorporates DARKON's proven combination lens technology, allowing specifiers to select from four optical distributions to suit a wide range of project requirements while maintaining a clean, integrated recessed appearance. Designed for demanding indoor and outdoor environments, HIP TRIM IP67 REC is available with both HE (High Efficiency) and HO (High Output) LED configurations and can accommodate integrated emergency lighting options. The luminaire features illuminated acrylic end caps with co-moulded gaskets and external screw flutes engineered to minimise the risk of water penetration while maintaining IP67 integrity. Unlike conventional IP-rated recessed luminaires that often create visible interruptions between joined sections, the illuminated end cap design allows adjacent modules to be butted together, creating the appearance of a continuous, uninterrupted line of light with no visible shadow gaps. To ensure long-term reliability in challenging environments, HIP TRIM IP67 REC incorporates a one-way Gore® vent valve that allows condensation and moisture build-up to escape while preventing water ingress, making it particularly suited to cold environments and applications subject to thermal cycling. A proprietary IP-rated rear junction box enables true plug-and-play through-wiring using IP67 connectors, simplifying installation and maintenance while preserving the integrity of the luminaire.
