Our fabrication services are delivered from DARKON’s 4,665 m² purpose-built manufacturing facility in Melbourne, supported by a skilled in-house engineering, production, and quality team.
Clients can engage DARKON Fabrication for one-off or repeat custom components, short-run or production fabrication, value-engineered alternatives, precision manufacturing support during construction, and fully engineered design-to-manufacture solutions.
These services mirror the same processes used to manufacture DARKON’s architectural lighting products — now available as standalone fabrication services.
DARKON Fabrication services include access to: laser cutting (metal and plastic), CNC machining, milling and turning, profile milling and extrusion processing, laser welding, press brake forming, silicone over-moulding, batch powder coating with closed-loop pretreatment, rapid prototyping and validation, and in-house testing and quality assurance.

CNC Machining & Turning
In-house CNC milling, drilling, and lathe operations for tight-tolerance components, custom fittings, and production runs — all managed under direct quality control.
Our CNC suite includes Haas Supermini Mill 2, Haas DM-2, Haas ST30SSY lathe with live tooling, Emmegi Precision RS twin head saw, Emmegi Phantomatic M3 profile machining centre, Elumatec SBZ122 for detailed profile work, and a Haco EuroMaster-S30150 150-tonne press brake.
High-Precision Laser Cutting
High-precision fibre laser cutting for aluminium, steel, and selected plastics. Ideal for complex profiles, brackets, plates, and custom components requiring accuracy and repeatability.
Laser Welding
Precision laser welding delivers clean joins with minimal heat distortion — ideal for architectural components, fine assemblies, and high-finish requirements.
Our laser welding process is faster and more efficient while consuming less power compared to traditional techniques.
CNC Press Brake Forming
CNC press braking for accurate bending and forming of metal components, enabling consistent results across short-run or repeat production.
Powder Coating & Finishing
In-house batch powder coating with environmentally responsible pretreatment and closed-loop water systems, ensuring consistent finishes and fast turnaround.
