First built for AMP in 1991, Bourke Place has undergone significant high-end upgrades of both its infrastructure and public areas. The recently delivered Plaza Lobby upgrade and New Goods Lift within the premium office building at 600 Bourke Street – Bourke Place, located in central Melbourne was a welcome challenge for Darkon.
Tandem’s planning was crucial in maintaining access for the public for the project duration including daily deliveries, lift maintenance, cleaning and general deliveries through the existing goods lift. The lift serviced all 51 floors located in the centre of the construction site. The project scope entailed the removal and relocation of the existing base building services around the path of the new goods lift and constructing the reinforced concrete lift shaft.
The plaza electrical fit out was coordinated by Templestowe Electrics with the base building lift contractor OTIS and comprised of coffered plasterboard ceilings, mosaic tiling and Corian wall surfaces with terrazzo tiled floors.
A very high end finish delivered for this prominent Melbourne CBD address!
