SOUTHERN CROSS AUSTEREO

DARKON is proud to have supplied luminaires for Southern Cross Austereo’s new Melbourne head office. The contract involved providing architectural lighting solutions for this high-profile client, including downlights, decorative pendants and shades, and colour-changing linear strip lighting.

However, the real highlight of the project is the custom-made 2m x 1.8m vacuum-molded lightboxes. These stunning lightboxes are located above the on-air Producers and are the major design feature of the space, envisaged by Siren Design Group to provide a dramatic and dynamic visual element that sets the tone for the entire office.

FDC Construction & Fitout and SKS Technologies, who delivered this phenomenal fit-out in a short construction program for Gattica Projects, deserve credit for their outstanding work. They worked tirelessly to create a space that truly represents the brand identity of the client, SCA, while also ensuring that the studios look and feel contemporary and inviting for guests and announcers alike.
