FLOWER & GARDEN SHOW 2022

Congratulations to Christian Jenkins for his amazing Show Garden, ‘Inner Calm’, unveiled at the 2022 Melbourne International Flower & Garden Show! After a 2-year absence, MFGS returned to the Carlton Gardens and Darkon was very proud to support Christian as lighting partners, setting off his tropical sanctuary using a range of products by Luxconex and Lumascape. The simply stunning Balinese inspired landscape design must be experienced in person to appreciate the sense of peace and tranquility it instills.

IP67 rated strip lighting was used to detail the architectural lines of the pavillion frame, and also sumberged to highlight the pavers forming the bridge through the lagoon. The product selected was Luxconex’s SR CONTOUR / LM10, and a series of fixtures used to uplight the palms and planting were chosen from Lumascape’s Erden and Evoca ranges.

The painstakingly conceived garden was highly accoladed by the judging panel and was awarded a Gold Medal in the Show Garden category, as well as the Innovative Design award.

‘Inner Calm’ was also the winner of the highly prestigious City of Melbourne Award of Excellence for Best in Show, presented by Lord Mayor, Sally Capp. This garden represents the culmination of 15 years of hard work and an amazing achievement for Christian, and we wish him well on his journey to his next destination at the Singapore Garden Festival!
