637 FLINDERS ST

The 637 Flinders St project involved the complete refurbishment of the 14-storey building, floorplate expansion and re-orientation, as well as facade and services upgrades. The asset offers a PCA A-Grade Standard contemporary commercial tower of up to 27,000sqm of NLA, featuring Docklands’ best rooftop communal space, ground floor business lounge, onsite gym and luxury end of trip facilities.

For this contemporary workplace, the modern feature chandelier envisaged and detailed by COX, delivers striking visual interest and a focal point for the atrium space, which forms the hub for interconnecting various commercial tenancies.

Fabricated using RGB-W LED technology, the fixture manufactured by Darkon, uses combinations from the full colour spectrum to allow for full dynamic colour control. Darkon supplied the chandelier and engaged Lightmoves to design and program the DMX control with the end client.

Visible from Flinders St in Melbourne’s CBD, the chandelier display can now be customised to suit different celebrations and commemorative events. At the request of the building Superintendent and Facility Manager, Lightmoves also programmed special colour presets to represent all sides in the AFL Football competition – accessible via touchscreen, meaning it’s quick and easy for 637 Flinders to reflect AFL Club colours, to coincide with the season’s football fixture!
