WYN REC brings DARKON's flagship Fibonacci Curve optical system into a refined recessed architectural format. Based on the same optical performance that has made WYN one of DARKON's best-selling luminaires since 2006, WYN REC delivers exceptional visual comfort, outstanding uniformity and one of the smoothest asymmetric light distributions in the DARKON range. Named after the Wynn Hotel in Las Vegas, where the concept was first conceived, WYN was developed around a proprietary reflector inspired by the Fibonacci Curve, often referred to as the Infinite Spiral. At the heart of the luminaire is a concealed LED light source positioned to project light back into the curved reflector rather than directly into the space. This indirect optical approach allows the reflector geometry to precisely control and redistribute light, creating a beautifully balanced illumination pattern without harsh cut-off lines, direct glare or distracting brightness gradients. A defining characteristic of WYN REC is its ability to simultaneously wash adjacent walls while projecting controlled illumination into the space. This unique optical distribution uses reflected light from vertical surfaces to enhance perceived brightness and improve overall room uniformity, while still delivering effective downward illumination for general lighting applications. By combining wall washing and ambient illumination within a single luminaire, WYN REC creates softer, more comfortable environments with fewer harsh contrasts and greater visual balance. The recessed system has been engineered for both installation efficiency and visual perfection. A dedicated recessed body is first installed into the ceiling using DARKON's proven pivot mechanical clamp system. The illuminated WYN assembly then simply snap-fits into the recessed housing, creating a seamless continuous lighting effect with no visible screws, fixings or mechanical fasteners. The result is a clean architectural appearance that allows the lighting effect to remain the hero while simplifying installation and future maintenance.
