SUPER MINI EDGE NEON REC is a trimless recessed perimeter lighting system designed to seamlessly integrate lighting, shadow-line detailing and architectural finishes into a single minimalist feature. Developed to complement modern plaster shadow-line details, the profile allows illuminated and non-illuminated sections to coexist within the same perimeter treatment, giving architects and designers the flexibility to create continuous shadow-line details with selectively illuminated zones where required. At the heart of the system is DARKON's ultra-low-profile T1607 Neon Flex, delivering an exceptional 107 lumens per metre efficacy while creating a perfectly uniform, dot-free line of light. Unlike traditional LED board-based linear systems, the silicone Neon Flex platform enables uninterrupted runs of up to 10 metres, significantly reducing the number of 24V feed points required throughout a project. The result is cleaner installations, reduced wiring complexity and superior visual continuity across long perimeter runs. One of the most significant advantages of the T1607 Neon Flex is its 8mm cutting increment, allowing installers to achieve exact finished dimensions without the shadowing, dark spots or uneven intersections often associated with conventional linear lighting products. Mitered corners remain consistently illuminated, while end terminations maintain a seamless appearance. Because the Neon Flex can be cut on-site, DARKON can supply the profile body oversized, together with additional Neon Flex (+100mm), enabling contractors to install and trim the system to the finished wall dimensions. This eliminates the need for final site measurements, revised shop drawings and additional manufacturing lead times, providing greater installation flexibility and reducing project delays. Designed as a versatile architectural platform, SUPER MINI EDGE NEON REC can accommodate wall finishes extending directly into the profile, including painted plasterboard, timber veneers, decorative panels and natural stone cladding up to 20mm thick. The profile fixes directly to the wall framing, allowing the plasterboard ceiling to terminate cleanly against the fitting for a truly trimless appearance. The result is a highly refined perimeter lighting solution that delivers seamless continuous illumination while integrating effortlessly into contemporary architectural detailing.
