The now 50 year old centre will receive the first stage of the $490 million revamp to the Fresh Food Market Hall by the end of the year. Installation of Michelle Taylor’s (MTRDC) interior design brief, was coordinated by Probuild with their appointed electrical contractors Stowe.
Running down the main thoroughfare is a stretch of custom fabricated diamond frames that act as a suspended platform for downlight cans. The frame is constructed from aluminium extrusion and finished in a textured matte black powdercoat which is drastically contrasted by a series of polished brass cans.
Mounted into the architectural detailing, both SWARM TWO surface mounted and recessed shine brightly from above illuminating the walkways bellow.
The custom frames also house architectural slatted timbers as well as adjustable SIEGE XL spot lights.
