The now 50-year-old centre will receive the first stage of the $490 million revamp of the Fresh Food Market Hall by the end of the year. The installation of Michelle Taylor’s (MTRDC) interior design brief was coordinated by Probuild with their appointed electrical contractor, Stowe.
Running down the main thoroughfare is a stretch of custom-fabricated diamond frames that act as a suspended platform for downlight cans. The frame is constructed from aluminium extrusion and finished in a textured matte black powder coat, which is drastically contrasted by a series of polished brass cans.

The custom frames also house architectural slatted timbers as well as adjustable SIEGE XL spotlights.
